Furthermore, we note that the correlation between the estimated results and economic indicators shows good stability. As shown in Table 5, all of the coefficients of variation are between 2%–9%, indicating that the estimation results of city energy consumption based on downscaling EBT are highly stable.
Why are there no city energy balance tables?
Due to the lack of complete city energy balance tables, far fewer studies have focused on city-level energy consumption compared to studies on national and provincial energy consumption accounts and those that do have limitations on the data accounting method or statistical calibre [4, 7].
